Marine displays manufacturer Nauticomp will showcase its range of Glass Bridge displays® & Signature II Sunlight Readable displays in booths M5 (Martek of Palm Beach), 525-526 (Langer Krell Marine Electronics, Offshore Connection) and 600 (IMS) at the 2010 Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 25-28.

Nauticomp’s rugged, waterproof, multi-functional Glass Bridge Displays are the industry’s largest, flush-mount displays in the smallest chassis frame. Ten source inputs can be selected manually or automatically by an external commander controller. Fort Lauderdale October 2009: Nauticomp, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of robust, waterproof maritime displays, introduces an enhanced version of its celebrated Glass Bridge Display® at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

The Glass Bridge Display® offers the industry’s largest display in the smallest chassis, providing the skipper with the clearest information by maximising the screen space available. Interface circuits allow up to 10 inputs to be displayed while Picture in Picture (PIP) facilitates all inputs, or any combination, to be displayed simultaneously if required. Inputs can be DVI, VGA, NTSC and component HDTV.
Each of the input functions are easily controlled through the external GB Commander keypad. The user can easily select inputs manually or simply set the controller for auto selection.

Building to stringent IP 67 standards, Nauticomp has used the very latest glass bonding technology which has been optically enhanced. The units therefore not only provide superb clarity and readability, even in full sunlight, but are also totally waterproof and free of any possible misting in a humid environment.

The advanced dynamic brightness technique, allows the user to control brightness levels of every input. Signature II Displays now with LED Technology

Fort Lauderdale October 2009: Nauticomp, world leading manufacturer of high quality displays for the leisure and military maritime environments, introduces the very latest in its Signature II series of waterproof, sunlight readable displays for the yachting market at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

Now with LED backlight technology, Signature II is the newest generation of Nauticomp’s bonded glass displays. The range of 12” 15” or 19” units have been designed and engineered into extra slim casings to provide the helmsman/navigator with the opportunity to incorporate a much larger display into a confined bridge area than was previously possible.

Optical enhancing of the bonded glass provides outstanding clarity and greatly improves the ability to use the displays in direct sunlight. All Nauticomp displays are fully waterproof, built to IP67 standards, allowing complete freedom to position the display where it is needed most. Signature II also provides both AC and DC power options.

To ensure the display can be tailored to the helmsman’s night vision requirements the displays can be easily dimmed to any level from 0 to 100% and selectable as red on any input. Centric Glass Bridge: The Next Generation

Centric Series Displays

Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, January 2007 – Nauticomp Inc. has expanded its LCD product line for 2007 for a complete line of dedicated marine certified displays. The 15.0″, 19.0″. 21.3″ and 23.1″ Centric displays have been tested and meet ECDIS requirements, thus meeting the stringent demands of Marine and Military specifications. The deep dimming capability is equal to or below 0.52 candela (Nit) and all have RS232 Interface for controlling dimming settings in ECDIS mode. These commercial LCD’s are available with an IP67 sealing kit.

Glass Multi-Dim Software

Nauticomp Inc. has a new display software available for the Nauticomp Glass Bridge Displays®. This software allows the operator to dim multiple displays through a single Commander Controller. The Commander Controller allows dimming in the standard black as well as the Nauticompâ„¢ “dim to red” feature. The controller can dim all input sources at any brightness level in either black or red by finger tip touch. Multiple displays are daisy chained through the display’s USB port.
